Medical Massage Therapy
What is Medical Massage Therapy? It is therapy performed by a Licensed/certified Massage Therapist to treat specific conditions and areas according to a prescription from your doctor that includes valid ICD 10 code(s). By law there are 4 increments of 15 minutes each allowed, one per area of treatment.
There are ground rules for having medical massage. First of all your insurance must cover medical massage. Just because you have an Rx and ICD 10 does not mean your insurance will cover it. If you have a deductible or co-pay you will be responsible to meet that before your insurance pays. You are expected to pay for services at time they are rendered. You will be given an invoice to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
15 minute increments - $20 each, for a total of 1 hour or 4 increments
